You know Caner IV and her crew. This route takes her east from Marmaris to Göcek, along a stretch of Turkish coast you have not sailed with us, with one night in Greece at Meis.
Numbered circles are overnight stops. The dashed orange line is the way to Meis and along the Kekova coast (days 4 to 8). The brown line is the way back (days 9 to 12). Nights 10 and 11, at Turunç and Göcek Island, are not numbered on the map.
Embarkation is at 4pm in Marmaris. The first leg is short, 8 NM to Kadırga, so you are anchored with time to swim before dinner. Kadırga is a west-facing inlet on the western shore of the Gulf of Marmaris. It has no facilities, which is the point. Day trip boats come through between about 11:00 and 16:00, so it is quietest in the evening.
Across to the north shore of the Gulf of Köyceğiz. Ekincik is the sea gateway to the Dalyan river and the ancient city of Kaunos, which has about 150 rock-cut tombs. İztuzu beach, where loggerhead turtles nest, is close by.
The longest stretch of the first half, with a stop at Güngörmez on the way. The day ends at Gemiler, near Ölüdeniz.
The biggest cruising day of the week. Limanağzı is a bay with no road access, with Lycian tombs cut into the cliffs above the water. Then Kaş for customs and passport control, and across to Meis (Kastellorizo), about 2 km off the Turkish coast. Greek entry formalities are done at Meis. The night is in Greece.
Kastellorizo has only a few hundred year-round residents, a number that grows in summer, and it draws a creative crowd. There is little to do, which is the appeal: swim, take a boat to the sea caves nearby, and look at the Ottoman architecture, including the minaret of an 18th century mosque. Turkey is about a mile away. For dinner, Condé Nast Traveler points to the stuffed onions at Ta Platania, and a nightcap at Faros.
Exit formalities with the Greek authorities at Meis, then back to Kaş for customs and passport. From there to Aperlai, an ancient Lycian city with a partly submerged district and a rudimentary harbour with a jetty. The night is at Kocakarı, an inlet with cliffs and pine forest on three sides, calm water and good snorkelling.
A short day of 11 NM along the coast, with a stop at Karaloz before the night at Gökkaya.
Go ashore at Çayağzı after breakfast, with a rented car, and be back before lunch. Çayağzı is the ancient harbour of Andriake, where Hadrian's Granary now holds the Lycian Civilizations Museum. Nearby are the ancient city of Myra, with a Roman theatre of 35 rows, and the 6th century Church of St. Nicholas. Then on to Kale Köy, with its castle, reachable only by sea. We can arrange a guide for Myra and the museum.
Üçağız is about 1 km from Kale Köy and its name means three mouths. Kekova's sunken city, Dolichiste, was partly submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century. The area is protected, and swimming over the sunken ruins is restricted.
Kalkan is the only safe harbour between Kaş and Fethiye, so the stop there is a natural break. The night is at Fırnaz Bay, about 4 km from Kalkan.
A long day back along the coast. The route passes Butterfly Valley and Ölüdeniz, then continues to Turunç for the night.
Göbün is a narrow, sheltered cove in the Göcek and Fethiye bay. It has a small dock and one restaurant that is reachable only by boat. A hillside path leads to a viewpoint, about an hour round trip. The last night is at Göcek Island.
A short morning run into Göcek Marina for disembarkation. Göcek is a small town with six marinas and twelve islands and coves around its bay.
Accessible only by boat, in its own private cove on the Fethiye side of the route. Farm-to-table restaurant, craft bar, pool lounge and spa. Book lunch ahead.
@yazzcollectiveA beach club in Büyük Boncuklu Bay, a few kilometres from central Fethiye. Cabanas and sunbeds, a Mediterranean restaurant, and music and cocktails in the afternoon.
@seamebeachRestaurant, boutique and gallery on Bedri Rahmi Bay in Göcek, with Türkiye's first Riva Lounge. Farm-to-table and seasonal.
@miori.gocekA Relais & Châteaux boutique retreat in Göcek, named from the ancient Lycian word for "beloved". Yoga, art therapy and a waterfront restaurant.
@ahamalivingArt, gastronomy and entertainment on the Göcek waterfront: restaurant, beach bar and library club. Good for a relaxed lunch or early sundowners before disembarking.
@adaiagocekFuel is paid on top of the charter fee. In 2026 it came to €4,695 for the week. This route is longer, so we worked out the litres from Caner IV's own consumption figures.
Diesel prices are pump prices reported on 21 October 2026: 96.70 TL in Istanbul (European side) and 98.00 TL in İzmir. I did not find a Muğla or Antalya price, so this range is a stand in. The euro rate is the 20 October 2026 sell rate. This is an estimate, not a quote. Marine diesel at the dock can be priced differently from the pump, prices will move before August 2027, and actual use depends on weather, speed and how much the generators run.
Fuel is an estimate, based on today's diesel prices. Water toy fuel, alcohol and transfers will be added once confirmed.
